Local 506
Due to the unprecedented and ongoing national crisis of the coronavirus and the fact that the only thing that we can control is our personal behavior, we have made a conscious decision to close Local 506 and cancel or reschedule all shows through at least the end of March, if not longer into April. We are dedicated to the safety of our patrons, our artists and bands, our employees, and our community. 

During this state of emergency, we have decided to set up this GoFundMe for Local 506 and our staff until we can all get back to work. Our owners and staff work hard and late hours to offer our community an amazing place to experience live music, and we hate to have to make this decision to shut down. 

On the bright side, we honestly have some of the best staff, neighbors and landlords in Chapel Hill. No one is going to come knocking for rent or shut our power off during this time, but it will need to be made up down the road. This disruption to the music industry as a whole will be devastating, but more so for the small venues and clubs who operate on the smallest of margins, to bring you live music from artists that they believe in! 

So, anything you can donate helps us ensure that the club doesn't fall behind on rent, bills, payrolls while we're closed, or so that our employees can get some help should they need the assistance. We deeply care about and love the people responsible for creating such an incredibly special and exciting experience at Local 506.
